Any connection to the style of pizza served at Artista pizza on Franklin Ave. In the late 1950s to 1960s by the Tiger movie theater?
I dont think there is a connection. While they both toss the dough, Tower pizza in Metairie uses canned sauce and toppings. I watched an entire pizza made...you go from excited about the pizza toss, to understanding the idea of consistency for canned sauce, to disappointment when the canned toppings get added.
Can we bring our own wine at Tower of Pizza?

Delicious thin crust pizza. Consistent. Friendly service. Great for families. Bring your own wine but they do have beer.

Excellent Italian style pizza. Tasty sauce. Nice crisp tasty crust. Italian toss salad was also very good. Order ahead. Curbside service.

Pizza was delicious and homemade. However, some of the servers were very rude and decor is seriously lacking...bathroom was in horrible shape. Prices too high for a pizza joint 1 large supreme and 1 small cheese pizza to go costed us 45 bucks!

Best pizza ever. The only place that I know of that still hand toss the pizza and that makes all the difference. It's not cheap but for what you get I don't think it is expensive. For this delicious pizza I would gladly pay more. The staff is nice too. I thank God that they are open now during the virus so I can get my pizza fix. Other places just do not do it for me. Go try it if you have not yet. You will not be disappointed.

Pizza was undercooked, it wasn't cut properly. Salad was BLAND, no taste. Certainly wasn't how I remembered it. The pitcher of beer was good.

Good grandma style pizza with toppings under the cheese. Very generous with the toppings and fresh but a tad floppy.
